Hollywood Presents: A Cuckold Movie!

I loved what Ang Lee managed to do with bringing about the movie 'Brokeback Mountain' to the big screen and making the title a household name and a metaphor towards gay pride.

My question is this: shouldn't it be about time some Hollywood Director got the balls to make a moving, engrossing picture about cuckoldism too? I know some movies have sort of brushed on the subject, but isn't it about time that people stopped viewing cuckoldry as something to be ashamed of when brought to light?

Lots of movies those ingrates tried to ban, but people don't understand that's a tactic one could use to generate word-of-mouth sort of publicity.

Besides, the movie needn't be rift with sexual imagry, but the story should boil around making a sort of mainstream presentation about people affected by this culture.

I think the world would better understand it if done properly. Definitely not done like a porno lol. But there could be many approaches and we would have to do a lot of research in the lifestyle to portray accurately.

Nah! Wasn't ever thinking of making it look like a porn. Was thinking more in the lines of Richard Gere in 'American Gigolo' style: about a black guy who specialises in sleeping with married wives and letting their husbands watch... or as you talked about a couple wanting to explore such lifestyle and the changes it brings to them.

Of course. Not sex-based ... although it would take a pounding from the media who'd want to sensationalize such, but I think it can be done.

As the label says, it IS a "teaser", Dsoul again is right, someone SHOULD produce the project. It will very likely HAVE to be a more liberal, independent distributor; the community in Hollywood will not produce and distribute a film on THIS subject in an objective manner. They are too conservative.

The film was finished in 2008. It was shot in the Buffalo NY area, with an interracial cast and a Black director/writer.

Ok, it's an independant film, as opposed to a 'Feature' film with a big name director. What is needed for that to happen? A really good, kick ass, script.

It will very likely HAVE to be a more liberal, independent distributor; the community in Hollywood will not produce and distribute a film on THIS subject in an objective manner. They are too conservative.

As such a movie finding the limelight, I know that no Hollywood company would want to see to the financing of such a project (and seeing the crap that's coming out of those studios lately, you can only wonder why), it'd be best not to use any famous or known stars, and if possible, have it shot in Europe... kind of like the way Kubrick did with 'Eyes Wide Shut'.

Good point, in Europe they are more amenable to the subject matter and the whole essence of the plot, and variations on the plot! They want us (BBC/BBD) over there anyway, especially in the U.K., SPAIN, GERMANY, the UKRAINE! It will not be hard to find actors to play the white husbands and the white women are abundant!

Hard to consider 'Eyes Wide Shut' a cuckold movie, since Kidman's character merely hinted on what she would have done, when actually she didn't.
