Daddy pretty much has the same take on it as he does for my Mom and her similar interests....a little freaked out and upset, but also glad I've found what makes me happy.
I know that my ******* being 18 and living with her mom we are divorced gives me less say in who she dates or what she does, she really doesnt have to tell me anything if she chooses. Yet as a ******* you want her to be safe and happy so depending on the guys treatment of her would be bigger concern than skin color in the big picture.

I found that if one of my daughters was dating someone I didn't really like I made the guy my best friend and their interest would wain. Forbid her to see someone and I guarantee you will live to regret it. My mom was always the more conservative one of my parents, with my dad just passively going along with what she says.
