Well, for me, this sort of a social venue. The forum boards, polls, chat about what goes on in our mutually shared quests. I wouldn't link facebook into this venue because I simply don't put my biz in the streets. Plus I feel that I can contribute to questions/concerns to the new people; the inexperienced that happen to share my kinks.

I'm confused as to why anyone would think this section of the forum is anything but a social venue. This area is clearly for discussion, not for "dating".
There are sections that are listed specifically for people who are trying to find others to hook up with. I don't post in those because I'm not looking to hook up or date anyone, so I don't understand why anyone comes into the discussion area to try to find a date instead of going to the dating section. Especially when they then complain that no one in the discussion section is "real" or no one is serious about hooking up.
If no one in the dating section is for real or serious about hooking up, that is a different issue, but one shouldn't expect anyone in the discussion sections to be.
